Meet Claire – The Heart Behind Beautique Beauty Studio

Hi, I’m Claire, the founder of Beautique Beauty Studio. My journey into the beauty world began back in 2013, after the birth of my first son. Like many mums, I was searching for a way to balance my passion, purpose, and family life—and that’s when Beautique was born.

Before becoming a beauty therapist, I earned a BA Hons in Journalism from University College Falmouth, where I specialised in Photo Journalism. But once I became a mum, my priorities shifted. I wanted to be present for my little boy, while still building something of my own. So, between nappies and nap times, I trained and worked in beauty, slowly but surely growing my skills and client base.

Fast forward to today, I’m now a proud mum of two beautiful boys, happily married, and also kept on my toes by a crazy spaniel! Over the years, I’ve trained with leading brands like LashBase, Nouveau Lashes, OPI, CND, and The London Brow Company, and completed a full range of beauty qualifications.

A Business Built with Heart

What started as Claire’s Nails & Beauty, offering gel nails and spray tans, grew into a full beauty studio with a full-service menu. In 2016, I rebranded to Beautique Beauty Studio to better reflect the evolving range of treatments and the passion behind the business.

In 2020, I opened a high street salon in Cuckfield, right in the middle of lockdown—a bold move, but one that was met with incredible community support. As the salon grew, so did my amazing team and our client base.

But like many small business owners, I eventually found that my mental health was suffering. After much thought, I made the difficult decision to close the salon and create something more balanced—a beautiful garden studio at home in Warninglid.

This private, tranquil space allows me to offer a calm, personalised experience to every client—just the way beauty should be.

From April 2026, we will be back In Cuckfield in a smaller salon. After working from home for 8 months, I am ready to work with my team and showcase this brand new salon to you and we can't wait for you to come in!
